Questions Before you begin.
Is this really Tulsi wood?+
Yes — hand-strung from genuine Tulsi (holy basil) wood. Each bead carries its own grain and faint earthy scent. No two malas are identical, which is the mark of authenticity.
How do I take care of it?+
Keep it dry. Avoid water, soap and perfume. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth. Rest it on your altar when not in use, not on the ground. Treat it as sacred — because it is.
Can anyone wear or chant with it?+
Yes. Tulsi is considered pure and auspicious for every devotee. Traditionally worn as kanthi (around the neck) by Vaishnavas, and used by all for japa — chanting the names of Vishnu, Krishna, Rama or any mantra you keep.
What is the Sumeru bead?+
The larger golden bead where your round begins and ends. It is never crossed — a reminder to pause, acknowledge the practice, and reverse direction for the next round of 108.
